Noah Edgar Braley, 88, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2025. He was born on August 7,1937, in Simms, Texas, to Judge Turner and Dessie Mae Braley.

Noah was a loving husband, father, Poppy, and dear friend to many. He was raised with strong Christian values and demonstrated his love through faith and family during his lifetime. He was a caring and generous man. His hugs gave love and comfort to those who were lucky enough to know him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Braley of Bossier City, Louisiana; his two daughters; Diana Lynne and husband John Curtis, Jr., of Many, Louisiana, and Vicki Michelle and husband Douglas Lawrence of Shreveport, Louisiana; Four grandchildren, Morgan and husband Lt. Col. Joseph Ulisse, Alexa and husband Lt. Col. Ryan Davis, Noah Lawrence and wife Ramona, and Ashton Lawrence; two great-grandchildren, Jacob Ulisse and Beckett Davis; along with a host of other family, friends, and business associates. Pallbearers: Noah Lawrence, Ashton Lawrence, Lt. Col. Joseph Ulisse, Lt. Col. Ryan Davis, Douglas Lawrence, and John Curtis, Jr. Honorary pallbearers: Beckett Davis and Jacob Ulisse.

Noah was a United States Army Veteran and a 60-year member of the Dalby Springs Masonic Lodge. He had a soft place in his heart for children in need, and he shared his love and support for them by participating as a Shriner in the Annual Shrine Circus and as a member of the Dunes Riding Club. He never missed an opportunity to support The Shriner's Children's Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Mr. Braley was the owner of Braley's Financial Business Systems in Bossier City for 15 years before his retirement in 1999. Traveling to the Holy Land with his wife, Dorothy, was a moving experience for him, and taking trips in his motor home all over the United States brought him immense joy. Noah loved his property in East Texas where he was born and raised and he fulfilled his role as keeper of the land after the death of his parents and sister, Velma. Time spent on the farm and especially on his tractor were the best times.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapelwood Funeral Home in Nash, Texas. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

Special thanks to The Cottages at The Glen for their great care, love, and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Shriner's Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or a charity of choice.
