Noah Gonsalves Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Service on Dec. 9, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Noah Gonsalves, at the age of 14. Noah was an exceptionally bright and curious young man whose love for science and the mysteries of the natural world inspired everyone around him. He had a special fascination with the Mesozoic era and the incredible story of life's evolution.

Noah's intelligence was matched by his kindness, warmth, and a witty sense of humor that could light up any room. He brought joy and laughter into our lives every day and cherished every moment spent with his family. Spending time with his cousins was most important to him, and those moments were filled with laughter, adventure, and love. Whether exploring new ideas, reading about prehistoric creatures, or simply enjoying time together, Noah's passion for learning and his gentle spirit touched all who knew him.

A proud participant in Science Olympiad, Noah loved challenging himself and sharing his knowledge with others. He also had a deep love for swimming, fishing, and spending time outdoors, always finding peace and joy in the water and in nature. Noah dreamed of living off the land and creating a sanctuary for animals-a place where wildlife could thrive and be protected for generations to come. His vision reflected his deep respect for nature and his desire to make the world a better place for all living things.

He is survived by his loving mother, Olivia Gonsalves, and his brother, Owen Gonsalves. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Gonsalves. Noah is also survived by his grandparents Garry and Mary Gonsalves, Daniel and Rachel Ortiz, and Dave and Shirley Whistler; his uncles and aunts Peter (Amy) Gonsalves, Garry (Kali) Gonsalves, Sarah (Brad) Luis, Daniel (Neyda) Ortiz, Joaquin Ortiz, and Marcelina Ortiz; and his cherished cousins whom he loved so very much: Gavin Gonsalves, Kylie Mya, Lauryn Gonsalves, Avi Gonsalves, Emalie Gonsalves, Ella Gonsalves, Brian Martinez, Mya Ortiz, Kyan Ortiz, Aiyanna Valencia, Sebastian Valencia, and Cataleya Valencia.

Though his time with us was far too short, his impact was immeasurable, and his memory will live on in the love we share and the stories we tell.
Noah's heart belonged to his family and the beauty of the natural world-may his spirit forever roam the wild places he loved and live on in the laughter of those who cherished him.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to Valley Children's Hospital to either the Cancer and Hematology Department, or to the Child life department in Noah's memory. Another organization to donate to is Golden Positivity.
