Noah Samuel Harness, age 26, of Warrensburg, joined into the arms of his Heavenly Father on March 24, 2025, He was born April 9, 1998, in Shawnee Mission, KS, the son of Bryon and Amanda (Caviness) Harness.
On October 17, 2021, he and Cassi Lee were united in marriage in Centerview. He and Cassi shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering partnership. Together, they built a family grounded in care and compassion. He was the proud and adoring father of Emerald, his toddler, whose laughter was his greatest joy. Noah also adored his bonus children, he loved Mikenlee, Sawyer, and Jette as his own, guiding them with a steady hand and an open heart.
Family was the foundation of Noah's life. He was the cherished son of Bryon and Mandy Harness, whose constant love and support shaped him into the remarkable man he was. He shared a deep and unbreakable bond with his three brothers, Ryan, Peyton, and Asher, with whom he created countless memories-from childhood adventures to lifelong friendship. Noah also had close relationships with his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles and many extended family members who all considered Noah a great blessing in their lives. He was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.
A man of service, Noah dedicated himself to helping others through his work as a paramedic. With compassion, skill, and selflessness, he answered the call time and time again, bringing comfort and care to those in need. His colleagues knew him as dependable and courageous, always willing to go the extra mile. Noah's dedication to others extended far beyond his occupation. He was elected and served on the Johnson County Health Board in an effort to give back to his community. To know Noah was to call him a friend. He never met a stranger-only future friends. His infectious smile, easygoing nature, and genuine kindness made him unforgettable. Whether he was helping a neighbor, sharing a laugh with a friend, or simply offering a listening ear, he made the world a warmer place. It could be said of Noah: He served others well and with all he had.
An avid outdoorsman, Noah found his peace in nature. Whether he was shark fishing along the coast, hunting in the woods, or searching for mushrooms and arrowheads along the creek, he was most alive in God's creation. He embraced every adventure with fearless enthusiasm and a deep appreciation for the beauty of that creation.
Noah enjoyed many things in life. He loved tailgating at UCM football games with friends and family and cheered UCM basketball on to national championships twice. He loved a good cigar, watching The Office and sharing quotes and episodes with fellow Office fans. He enjoyed listening to the Daily Wire and discussing world events. Noah had strong beliefs and acted on them. He organized two large rallies in Johnson County that many enjoyed and praised him for organizing.
Noah will be deeply missed by his wife, children, parents, siblings, extended family, and the countless friends and community members whose lives he touched. Though he is gone, his adventurous spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love will live on in the memories of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed because he truly was the best of us.
Noah is survived by his wife, Cassi Harness; his daughter, Emerald Harness; his bonus children, Mikenlee Wardell, Jette Wardell, and Sawyer Wardell; his parents, Bryon and Mandy Harness; his brothers, Ryan (Cheyenne) Harness, Peyton Harness, and Asher Harness; his maternal grandparents, David and Connie Caviness; his paternal grandparents, Ed (Debbie) Harness and Brenda Carder.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home with Dr. Douglas Davenport officiating.
A reception will follow the service at 2:30 p.m. at Milestones Barn.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Emerald's Education Fund with checks made payable to Cassi Harness and left in care of the funeral home.
