Noah Lee Harris passed from this life on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the age of 73. Noah was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Rosie Harris; his sister, Viola Harris-Hicks and four brother, Jessie Harris, Jr., Edward Harris, Nute Harris, and Freddie Harris. 

He was born on April 6, 1952, in Camden, Arkansas, to the union Jessie Harris and Rosie Garry Harris. He united with First Union Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Pastor J. T. Allen. Noah remained a faithful member under the leadership of Pastor Frank Dawn and Pastor Arlin Carson. Noah was a devoted Christian whose faith guided every aspect of his life. He cherished his church, community and found great joy in serving faithfully, always ready to lend a helping hand to everyone in need.  

Noah was a 1970 graduate of Lincoln High School. After graduating, he went to work at Firestone in Prescott, Arkansas., later he was employed by International Paper in Camden, Arkansas and later transferred to Texarkana, Arkansas International Paper where he retired.   

He united in holy matrimony with Artricia Leake Harris; one son was born from this union, Byron Harris. His relationship with his son Byron was one of deep love and mutual respect. Noah was an exceptional son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. 

Noah's passion for the outdoors shone through in his long-standing membership at the Midway Hunting Club, where he cherished countless days spent hunting and fishing with "the Fellas." He was an avid sports enthusiast, Noah's favorite pastimes included watching basketball, football, and baseball. He was a huge fan of the LA Dodgers, the Boston Celtics and the Indianapolis Colts. 

Noah is survived by his beloved son, Byron Harris; his grandchildren, Jakayla Harris and Caliyah Harris; a great-granddaughter, Ka’ior Ayers; his brother, Roosevelt Harris of Kansas City, MO; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Harris of Camden, AR. He also leaves a special niece, Makisha (Charlie) Traylor of Malvern, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, the fellas’ at the Midway Hunting Club and the First Union Baptist Church Family.

Visitation will be at Williams Funeral Home Van Buren, 119 Van Buren St., on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from noon until 6:00 pm. Services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at First Union Baptist Church in Chidester with Rev. Arlin Carson, eulogist. Interment will be at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Camden.
