Timothy Tyrone Carroll was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend whose life left an indelible mark on the city of Camden, Arkansas. Timothy passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
He was born on December 21, 1964, in Camden, Arkansas, to the union of Tollie Carroll, Sr. and Earnestine Scott Carroll. Timothy was raised in Camden and received his education in the Camden School District. A proud 1984 graduate of Camden High School, he excelled as a standout track star, earning admiration for both his athletic ability and determination.
Timothy was a lifelong and faithful member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, where his presence and spirit were well known and deeply appreciated.
Known as the life of the party, Timothy never met a stranger. He had a gift for making friends effortlessly and was known for his infectious laughter and warm personality. He enjoyed listening to the blues, playing a good hand of dominoes with family and friends, and took special joy in hearing music sung by his beloved sister, Nora.
A natural jokester and storyteller, Timothy loved to share stories—whether they truly happened or not—and always delivered them with humor and charm. His fun-loving spirit was matched by a strong work ethic. He worked for several years as a construction worker with Hen’s Construction Company, where he was known as a dependable and hardworking man.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Tollie Carroll, Sr. and Earnestine Scott Carroll; a sister, Sterline Baker and his brothers, Eddie Lee Jones, Henry Lee Jones, Minister Jerome Carroll, and Tollie Carroll, Jr.
His loving memories live on through his daughter, Sha’Kira Carroll of Memphis, TN; his sisters, Kalimah Shaheed of Chidester, AR, and Psalmist Nora L. Jones Celestine of Pine Bluff, AR. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, his best friend Ivory Hearn of Camden, AR and many other friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM with the family hour from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Camden, Arkansas.
