Mr. Noble Ramsey Jr., affectionately known as “The Skin Man” a very well-respected man and our beloved and devoted father, husband, grandfather, and great grandfather departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2025. Age 81 years. He was born October 23, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Noble and Adabell (Doncan) Ramsey. He will be greatly missed by many. To know him was to love him! He impacted many lives and was a true Icon!
Noble was a member of New Faith Temple and was employed at Emerson Elementary School for many, many years. His hobbies included fishing, playing horseshoes, spending time with his children and grandchildren, sitting on the porch on Weadock, listening to blues and gospel, watching Westerns, and of course “COOKING SKINS” AND HE WAS THE BEST AT IT!!!!!
Noble is survived by and leaves to cherish loving memories with his children, Monica Ramsey (Burton), and Raymond (Shawn) Ramsey; Wife of over 40 plus years and Mother of his Children: Evelyn Ramsey; grandchildren, Dwayne Farris Jr., Bre’Aira Burton, Jaxsen Ramsey, Rayona Ramsey, Raiven Ramsey, D’Quarious Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Araya, Bryson, Carmello, Quincy, Marri, D’Quarious Jr. and Ameriah; sisters, Katherine Glenn, Josephine Robinson, and Christine Cooks; god-granddaughter; Sienna; sisters-in-law, Margaret, Wilma, Alma and Brenda; brother-in-law, Raymond; nieces, Angeline (Brian), Elaine, Deshondus (Pastor Delwin), Deshon, Taheerah, Shree, Mona, Angel (Dale), Andaja, Jameisha, Zakiya (Mike), Takiyah, Nzingha, Khadijah, Najwa, Binta, Raytondolyn, and Tammy; nephews, Lee, Robert R., Ronald, Robert S., Marcus, Lee Jr., Clarence and James; godson, Reggie Wright; special friends, Jerry (Shirley) Prince, Bruce Walker, Albert Brown, Steve (Linda) Woodford and the entire Weadock Family along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Noble was preceded in death by his parents: Noble and Adabell Ramsey; mother-in-law, Eartha Mae Jones; sisters: Evelyn Johnson, Margerie Patterson, Pauline Lipkins, and Mae Frances Cooks; brothers, Albert Ramsey, Joe Ramsey, Earl Smith, Robert Cooks Sr., and Henry Cooks Jr.; nieces, Lakeshia, Ayana, Justice, and Nicki; brothers-in-law, Danny Abdul-Shaheed, Donald Patman Sr., Jeffery Harris Sr., Cornell Jones, Lee Box Sr.; sisters-in-law, Lurine Brown, Lorise Granderson, and Patricia Ramsey; and goddaughter, Cynthia Wright.
