Noel Emanuel Edie was born November 8, 1969, to George Waldermann Edie and Barbara Angela Carr at Jubilee Hospital in the shores of Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies.
Noel Edie matriculated through the ranks of Edith Dalton James High School in Duhaney Park where he graduated in 1985.
Following his migration to the United States of America, he then graduated from Job Corp in 1991 and found pleasure in his chosen occupation in transportation services. His benevolent spirit and infectious smile garnered him many friends along the way and a sacred place in the hearts of everyone he encountered.
Noel met Judy in 1995, and they were joined in Holy Matrimony on June 1, 2001. From this union four beautiful children were born; JA, Da'naisa Allen, Noel Edie Jr. and Jordan Edie.
"Big Papa" or " Big Sexy" (as he was affectionately known), was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was characterized by a genuine love of people and chiefly his family, particularly his wife Judy where friends recount many occasions in which Noel spoke highly of his life partner. His passing has left a void in the souls of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of interfacing with him.
Our Heavenly Father is seated on His High Throne. It is there, he will honor His own and vindicate for His chosen few. Noel Emanuel Edie was taken from this earth unexpectedly on May 17, 2025. He was 55 years young. His wife, children, mother, and other numerous family members and beloved friends remain deeply sorrowful by this sudden and tragic loss, but will remember him for his overwhelming laughter, his deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He frequently visited the gym for work-outs where he continued to express his rare gift of invoking genuine warmth to all. Noel often underscored the importance of family, always trying to promote unity.
Noel Edie is survived by his devoted wife, Judith Edie; children, JA, Da'Naisa Allen, Noel Edie Jr. and Jordan Edie; mother, Barbara Angela Carr; siblings, Adrian Bennett, David Morrison, Troy Morrison, Paul Edie, Garrick Edie, Gary Edie, Mark Edie, Pauline Edie and Marcia Edie. He also leaves his beloved aunts and uncles who also adored him. Among them are Dalmatia Edie, Rachel Connors, Sarah Ricketts, Herbe Brown, Naomi Edie, and a host of cousins who shared in his joyful spirit.

My condolences to the family and friends of Noel. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Noel and Judy some years back. We had a blast in the Poconos and we always look back at that time. It was full of fun, joy, laughter and genuine connection . Four couples came together and we hung out like we knew each other for years. My husband and I will always cherish those memories. May Noel rest in peace and our hearts go out to Judy, his children and all who loved him.
With love, Angel & Derrick
