Noel J. Mize

Funeral service for Noel Jackson Mize is Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church, with Terry Aldridge and Dr. Ralph Andrews officiating. A visitation will be held the night prior, Monday, August 5, 2024, from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Good Hope Cemetery.

Noel was born August 12, 1931, to Herbert J. Mize and Pearl Young Mize. He passed from this life on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Cullman Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edward Mize; sister, Onie Mae Sharp; brother Rondal Curtis Mize.
He is survived by his beautiful wife of 67 years, Robbie Mize; daughter, Caron Mize Whitlock (Danny); sisters, Lynda Mize Wood, and Christine Mize Henke; grandchild, Alex John-Noel Whitlock (Alexa); great-grandchildren, Mace Ridley Whitlock, and Mara Jayde Whitlock; and a host of family and friends.
Noel was a man of many talents and interests. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a Mason and a well-respected Alabama State Trooper for many years. He was a private pilot and loved to fly, a knife collector, and was also a talented artist who loved to draw and he would also design and build his own wooden furniture. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, servant, and friend to all. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
