Noel Thompson Obituary

He was born December 24, 1947, son of Paul and Doris Metcalf Thompson. Noel was retired public works administrator for the City of Louisville. He was a 1965 graduate of Fern Creek High School, a member of the Fern Creek High School Alumni Association and was inducted into the Fern Creek High School Hall of Fame. He earned a degree from Eastern Kentucky University, was former president of the American Public Works Association and the Buechel / Fern Creek Jaycees. He was also a member of the Bonnycastle Club and a Kentucky Colonel.
In addition to his parents, Noel was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Thompson; and sister, Linda Hawkins.
Survivors include his wife, Sue House; children, Paul Thompson, Laura Gunter (Leslie) and Kelly Bennett (Fred); grandchildren, Whitney (Katelyn), Matthew (Chelsea), Stephen (Emily) and Blake Followell, and Rachel, Samuel and Grace Bennett; and siblings, Bonnie Euzierel (Fred), and Gordon (Sharon), David (Edith), Keith (Sharon) and Mark (Gretchen) Thompson.
