Nola Jane (Culver) Ciufo, 76, passed to the Lord's arms on May 17, 2025, following a prolonged illness. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Philip.

She was born in DeKalb, IL, graduated from DeKalb High School, attended Northern Illinois University, studied for a summer in England, then graduated from a computer programming school in Chicago.

Nola is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy (Paup) Culver and father, James, her daughter, Michelle, and brothers, Jimmy and Roger. She is survived by her husband, Phil, children, Carie (Matt) Sargent, Philip, Christopher (Thandi Myron) Daugherty and Sean (Brittany) Daugherty, her brothers, Jack (Debbie) and Jeffrey (Kathi), and her sister, Dianna (Mike) Huttunen. She has 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Nola was a Navy wife for 21 years, enjoying tours at the US Capitol and Taiwan, among many others. She was Ombudswoman for Naval Hospital Taipei. An expert in needlecrafts, she taught many in the craft, and was part owner of The Needlecrafter, in Annandale, VA. Later Nola was the Admissions Director for Career Training Institute in Orlando, FL. Nola was an expert in genealogy research and an avid Cubs fan.

A memorial service will be held at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 586 Issaqueena Trail, Clemson, SC 29631 at 2 PM on 02 June 2025.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
