Salvadore F. Ciufo 85 died Friday July 4, 2025 at his home in Ludlow, Vt. He was born December 10, 1939 in Springfield, Vt. the son of John and Amelia Ciufo. He graduated from Black River High School in Ludlow.
On August 31, 1958 He married Joan Wortman at the Church of Annunciation in Ludlow, She predeceased him on November 13, 2014.
He was employed as a Tool Maker with General Electric for 40 years, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of the National Guard, and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his machine shop and doing carpentry, and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons; Thomas J. (Wendy) Ciufo of Springfield, Ted F. (Yvonne) Ciufo of Rutland, and Terry M. (Judy) Ciufo of North Clarendon, six grandchildren; Shawn, Tristan, Terry Jr., Mike, Bryce, and Tanner. Five great grandchildren; Isabella, Travis, and Luke Ciufo, Knox and Stellan Lanfear. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his siblings; Angelo Ciufo, Anthony Ciufo, Rita Langello, and Victor Ciufo.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening July 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday July 11, at the Davis Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bayada Hospice 190 South Main Street, Suite 2, Rutland, VT, 05701.
