Nola Smelcer Obituary
Nola Jean Smelcer, age 76, of New Market, TN went to be with the Lord after being blessed with a pain-free life on April 22, 2025. She loved her family and genealogy. Jean was a member of Grant’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Albert Smelcer and father, Tally Monroe Pressley. She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Shane) Ferguson; grandchildren, Abbie Shanea Ferguson and Erin Elaine Ferguson; mother, Louise Pressley; brothers, Kenny Pressley and Bobby Pressley; brother-in-law, James (Sue) Smelcer and niece and nephew, Jennifer Armstrong and Edward Pressley. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. with a funeral service to follow with Rev. Charles Shipley and Rev. Kathy LaFollette officiating. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11:00a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating.
