Nolan Gene Boyd

Our family is sadden to announce the passing of our baby boy, Nolan Gene Boyd, at the tender age of 16 due to a tragic accident. Nolan was born April 30, 2007 in Smyrna, TN to Lori (Brown) Wright and Kris Boyd.
Nolan was a Junior at East Mountain High School. While at the school, he was an inspiration to many of his classmates and had a huge impact to not only his family, but the community he lived in. Nolan had a huge love of hanging out with his friends and doing what most teenage boys do. Nolan's biggest passion was his perfection to perform the biggest and best flip that he could do and he would not stop until he perfected it. He will be remembered for doing all of his crazy stunts but most of all, having fun. Nolan's last act was doing something he loved.
Nolan is survived by his parents, Lori (Brown) Wright and Bonus dad David Wright; Kris Boyd and his bonus mom, Audrie (Rios) Boyd. He is also survived by his sister Joslynn; two younger brothers (Liam and Caden); bonus sisters (Amya and Nicolette); Maternal Grandparents (Dena Romero and Roy Brown), Paternal Grandparents (Marvin and Patricia Boyd); Bonus Grandfather (Manny Wright); Bonus Grandparents (Cris and Kathy Rios); along with several aunts and uncles, cousins and a whole school and community that loved him so very much.
He is preceded in death by bonus grandmother, Cheryl Wright.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday September 22 from 4 PM to 6 PM at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary located at 807 Historic Route 66 Moriarty, NM 87035. This will be followed by a memorial at the site of his accident. Those details will be given at the service.
