Nolee Jean Cowan
Age 17 | Passed on October 23, 2025
The Lord tells us, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." (Jeremiah 1:5) Anyone who was ever blessed to interact with Nolee experienced the joy of knowing someone truly innocent.
On this earth, Nolee was restrained by physical obstacles, but today we find solace in knowing that she has been made whole and is with our Heavenly Father; no longer suffering the ailments she encountered here.
Nolee surpassed every life expectancy that science could offer. She continuously fought to stay here with us. Nolee had the strength of every soldier who has ever served and ever will serve throughout eternity. She possessed a will and determination that most people can only dream of having.
It is okay to miss her. It is okay to cry. But hold close to your heart that "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Nolee would want everyone to remember her for her infectious smile, incredible strength, and enduring love. She touched so many lives simply by living her story and being the brightest light in any room.
Nolee was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Rema Earlene Ray, her great-grandfather, James Doyle Gilkey, and her father, Randall Shane Cowan. She is survived by her loving grandparents, Rema and Mark Merritt, Shane Cowan, Cindy and Jody Tyler, and Brenda and Willis Simpson; her great-grandmother, Cecelia Gilkey; many aunts and uncles; her devoted parents, AnnaMarie and Matthew Tyler; and her siblings, Norah Cowan and Charlee, Luke, and Jimma Tyler.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 27th, from 4:00 until 6:00 PM, followed by a service at 6:00 PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Olive Branch, Mississippi. A graveside service and burial will take place in Attica, Arkansas, at Thomas Cemetery, at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 28th. Pastor Brad Branham of Hello Church in Wynne, AR will officiate.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love, and support during this time.
Online condolences may be left on her tribute wall at www.colemanfuneralhomeob.com.
