Nona Rozella Becker, 96 of Wooster, passed away Thursday August 21, 2025 at Brookdale. She was

born August 8, 1929 in Wayne Co. the daughter of John and Leatha Bates Arnold. She was a

homemaker and had also worked at Gruter Foundation. Nona was a member of the Reedsburg

Lutheran Church, until it closed and then attended New Pittsburg Lutheran Church. Nona was a

wonderful cook and very good seamstress.

She is survived by five children, Jane (Art Fredrickson) Moore of Wooster, Jean (Sam) Humphrey of

West Mansfield, Judy (Bob) Rozella Rodi of Lima, Jerry (Diane) Lee Hixson of Loudonville and James

Earl Hixson of Wooster, a step-daughter, Judy (Jim) Cannon of Ashland, 14 grandchildren, 28 great

grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Shirley Becker and a sister, Loy

Robinson of Henderson, Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband, Richard Hixson, her 2nd husband,

Kenneth Becker, a granddaughter, Lynette Humphrey, a step-son, Kenny Becker, 1 daughter-in-law,

Linda Hixson, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday August 27, 2025 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with

Pastor Stephanie Woods officiating. Burial will follow in Reedsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Life Care Hospice 1900 Akron Road Wooster, OH 44691.
