Teresa Ann Ebert, age 61, of Jeromesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family after battling cancer on Thursday August 14, 2025. She now sits at the feet of Jesus!

She was born March 15, 1964, to Georgia (Dague) and William Garber. She loved spending time with her grandmother, Glenna, helping on the farm and baking with her. Growing up, Teresa was known for her big heart, kindness, and her third base skills for the Falcons, but what made Teresa so special was her undying love of Jesus, family, community, and the fact she never knew a stranger.

In Teresa's own words, she stated, "I have been blessed to reside in the home built with my best friend, high school sweetheart, and devoted husband, Kirk James Ebert." They were married October 8, 1983, in Wooster, Ohio. Although their honeymoon to Myrtle Beach got cut short due to a hurricane, Teresa's unwavering positive attitude still made it a fun trip! Teresa's passion in life was to be a wife, mother and grandmother. In true Teresa fashion, she excelled at all three. All of her children have flown the coop and begun beautiful families of their own-Erin (Brent) Altenburger with their three children, Brynlee, Myles and Hailey. Seth Myles and his girlfriend (Lauren Whitman). Luke (Ashlee) Ebert with their two children, Avery and Wade.

She wears the title of "Blessed Grammy" with the utmost pride. She was truly one of a kind and "broke the mold" on what the ultimate grandmother is. Her "grands" loved her more than anything, and have such fond memories of all their time spent together. While it wasn't long enough, her love and legacy will live on through them. She poured her love and light into everyone she came in contact with. To know her, was to love her. She will live on every day through her husband, children, grands, and everyone's life that she touched.

Nothing illustrates Teresa's heart more than this direct quote a week prior to her passing:

"Living in this small community and church family, my life has proven to show helping one another through the years is important. Going alongside each other is discipling and growing together through the years. I encourage you to find a comfortable home church family. One that accepts you as you are, a sinner coming together with others, growing alongside each other as we journey toward Jesus. A church family that reads from the Bible to learn of what Jesus really encourages us to do, even if it is not the popular way."

She is survived by Kirk Ebert, her beloved husband of 42 years. Her children, Erin (Brent) Altenburger, Seth (Lauren Whitman) Ebert, Luke (Ashlee) Ebert, all of Jeromesville. Her "grands," Brynlee Ann, Avery Nicole, Myles David, Hailey Jane and Wade James. Also, her siblings: Jason (Chan) Garber of Mansfield, Jennifer (Danny) Wagner of North Canton, and Jeff Garber of Millersburg. As well as many nieces and nephews. She will be joining her grandparents Quinton and Glenna Dague and Harry and Peggy Garber, parents William Garber and Georgia Garber, as well as brother Todd Garber in passing.

Funeral services with be held Monday, August 18th at 10:30am at Trinity Lutheran Church of Jeromesville.
