Ada L. Ebert, 73, of Marion, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in her home. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 24, 1951, she was the cherished daughter of Willard and Clara (Manning) Johnson.
Ada was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, James Ebert, and a nurturing presence to all who knew her. She graduated from Sunfish High School and pursued further education at Indiana Wesleyan University and Ivy Tech, where she received an associate's degree and a formal CDA in childcare. For 42 years, Ada opened her heart and home through her in-home childcare service, touching the lives of countless children and families.
A woman of deep faith, Ada was a member of Servant Community Church. She also dedicated 20 years as a volunteer assistant swim coach with Special Olympics, where her unwavering support earned her a gold medal from the head coach for her years of service.
Ada was a mother to six, a mom to all, a grandmother to a few, and a mamaw to many. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and compassion lives on in the lives she touched.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Ebert of Marion; her sons: Jason (Kendra) Ebert of Las Vegas, NV; Andy Ebert of Marion; Nathan (Macy) Ebert of Marion; Joshua Ebert of Marion; Michael (Alejandra) Ebert of San Tan Valley, AZ; and Jonathan Brooks. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a sister, and close family friend, Bob Abshire.
Ada was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN.

I appologize!!! My brother Terry(Delvis),sons Gerald(Lauren) gerald and lauren live in Sourh Carolina,Wesley(Nicole) live in Jacksonville, Fla as does terry and delvis and our youngest brother Darrell. Sister Kelly Jeffrey,daughter Kayla(Tory)sons draven and skyler line in muncie. Jerry and I have a son Jon(Renee) grandkids Austin and wufe,Abby,Azaria and by know means last Trevor Perdue. All but trevor live in Huntington. Mom and Dad have passed and are now in Heaven. Our family knew Jim and his family for many years. Know he will miss Ada dearly.

I am so sorry for your loss. Ada was a very nice lady. I met her a few times. My sister dated Jim years ago. Jim is a very nice guy. I am so very very sorry for your loss. I'm sure the special Olympics people will miss her. It's very rewarding work I know she must have enjoyed her work as it's so rewarding to work with the special Olympics as I use to do it myself. My brother terry payne and i(kim payne perdu) worked with Ada and Jim at Duffs Smorgasbord ( marion). Ada was truly a good worker!!!! Terry ,his wife and sin wesley live in Jacksonville, fla and my husband and I live in wabash!! Jim wad truly crazy about her and her him!!! Our thoughts and prayers with Jim and family.
