Marjorie Elaine McFarlin, 98 of Jeromesville passed away Friday September 5, 2025. She was the daughter of Glenn & Mabel Clouse McQuate. She was a retired school teacher of more than 32 years. She started her teaching career in the Ashland City Schools with the majority of her career spent at the Hayesville Elementary School teaching third grade then advancing to fourth grade. She retired from there in 1987. She had many fond memories and stories of her numerous students throughout the years. She was a member of the Jeromesville United Methodist Church for most of her adult life. She served the church in many positions including: Sunday School teacher, Cook for the Hard Tack candy that the church was known for, as well as baking numerous pies for the Ashland Co. Methodist Fair tent, ( her specialty being Ground Cherry). She also was a member of the Mohican Ladies Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening in her younger years and loved her flower gardens, especially roses. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was also instrumental in organizing annual get togethers for her husband's WWII 69th Infantry Artillary Division. She was married to her husband Lowell McFarlin on June 4, 1948. They celebrated 74 years of marriage before Lowell passed away in 2022.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Lee Kline of Jeromesville and Debra Elaine ( Russell) Schoonover of Ashland, 4 grandchildren, Natalie Pickett, Jessica Deubner, Aaron Kline, & Zack Schoonover, as well as 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lowell McFarlin, and her brother and sister-in-law Doyle & Louella McQuate.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 13, 2025 at the Jeromesville Methodist Church with Pastor & Mayor Matt Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Jeromesville Cemetery.

Friends and family may call Friday September 12, 2025 from 6 - 8 PM at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeromesville Methodist Church, PO Box 116 Jeromesville, OH. 44840.
