Nona Joyner Curlings, 87 of Roper passed away Monday, October 16, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Mt. Zion FWB Church, 9300 Johnson Farm Road, Kenly. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. Matt Spence and Rev. Ricky Nelms will officiate.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, October 27, 2023, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Nona is survived by her daughters, Diane Combs of Tennessee, Ginger Arnold and husband, Wyatt of Roper, and Terry Curlings of Fremont; sons, J.C. Curlings and wife, Debbie of Selma, and Earl Curlings of Edenton; eight grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, John Wesley Curlings; grandson, Jason Michael Pearce, and her son-in-law, Bobby Combs.
Flowers are welcome or please consider memorials in Nona’s memory to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
