Nora Agnes Bergen, a beloved matriarch and faithful servant of the Lord, was called home to the Lord on November 10, 2025, in Peoria, Arizona, at the age of 94. Surrounded by the love of her family, Nora entered eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith and devotion.
Born on January 14, 1931, in County Sligo, Ireland, Nora embarked on a courageous journey at the age of 20, setting sail for New York in pursuit of a new life filled with hope. It was there that she met her beloved husband, Ned, and together they nurtured a family of five, instilling in their children the values of strength and independence. Nora's life was a testament to her commitment to her family, as she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising her children and supporting her husband in their business endeavors. Her loving spirit shone brightly through her tireless volunteering at her grandchildren's Catholic schools and her active participation in her church community, where she was cherished for her vibrant presence and generous heart.
Nora is survived by her daughter Mary Corrie, son Bill Bergen, daughter Peggie Gunnell (Dave Gunnell), her grandchildren, Megan Boise (Dan Boise), Sean Bergen, Hayley Spreng (Steffen Spreng), Noelle Dartt (Dan Dartt) and her Five Great Grandchildren (and growing)." She was preceded in death by her sons, Joseph and Edward Bergen.
As we grieve the loss of Nora, we take comfort in the promise of eternal life, knowing she is now reunited with the Lord and will forever dwell in His presence. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). Her faith journey and the love she shared will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. In this time of sorrow, may we remember the powerful legacy of faith she leaves behind, and may we find solace in the hope of our reunion in Heaven.
