Nora Irene Griffin

Nora I. Griffin, age 88, passed away on October 5, 2022.
Nora was the beloved wife of Thomas W. Griffin, Jr. for the last 68 years; loving mother of Mike (Mary Calys) Griffin, Kathy (Scott) Snyder, Karen (Vic Ventimiglia) Griffin, Dan Griffin, Patrick (Ying) Griffin, and the late Dennis Griffin; devoted grandmother of Mackenzie (Jesse), Morgan, Mark, Michael, Jennifer, Steven, Christopher (Val), the late Matthew, Emily, Mary, Ryan, Kellie (Mark), Brittany (Ryan), and Lindsay; and proud great-grandmother of Jesse, Romeo, Ella, Peyton, Izabella, Leah, Logan, Cameron, Christian, Ava, and Keegan. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Elaine Griffin, brother-in-law, Don (Claudia) Griffin, and many nieces and nephews.
Nora was born on November 28, 1933 to Charles and Elma Bolo. She was a long-time resident of Warren. She married the love of her life, Thomas, on July 3, 1954. Nora loved music and played many instruments, including piano, accordion, and one or her favorites, the banjo. She was even a member of the Banjos of Michigan group. Her home skills were unparalleled. She would sew, cook, and bake. She was a great cake decorator. Nora was also very proud of her Finnish heritage.
Visitation Sunday, October 9, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary Service at Wysocki & Wilk Funeral Home, 29440 Ryan Road, Warren. Instate Monday, October 10, from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church, 2500 12 Mile Road, Warren. Entombment to follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
