A Graveside Service for Nora Jo Richardson will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Terrace Cemetery in Post, TX, with Pastor Tommy Rosenblad officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Nora was born on December 8, 1928, to Pat and Doyle Blacklock in Post, Texas. She passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 96. Nora led a life filled with love, creativity, and service to others. She passionately operated her own paper doll business, capturing the hearts of many with her artistic talent. For 30 years, she received great joy from teaching Sunday School to 2-year-olds, sharing her warmth and wisdom with the youngest members of her community at First Baptist Church of Brownfield. Friends and family will fondly remember her as a remarkable cook who brought everyone together with her generous meals, embodying the spirit of hospitality and family.
Nora was preceded in death by her devoted husband, L. J. Richardson; parents, Pat and Doyle Blacklock; and siblings, Lorine and Ronnie Blacklock. Nora is survived by children, Rebecca Henson, Mike, and wife Sandra Richardson; grandchildren, Dr. Steven and wife Dr. Faith Richardson, Scott and wife Stephanie Richardson, Caroline and husband Jeff Blackwell, and Jim Morse; great-grandchildren, Nora Grace, Ava Joy, Claire, Maddie, Sophie, Allison Richardson, Emily Warden, Daniel, and Annalee Morse. The family would also like to give thanks to Interim Hospice of Brownfield and extend a special thanks to Nettie, and Sylvia you two individuals were exceptionally amazing thank you.
