NEW PALESTINE – C. Michael Richardson, age 74, of New Palestine, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 20, 1951, to Arthur and Christine (Montgomery) Richardson. He graduated from Butler High School in 1969. He married Rhonda (Pirtle) Richardson on April 7, 1973. Mike was raised in Louisville going to church with his mother and eight siblings. He sang in the choir as a teenager. After marrying Rhonda and moving to Indianapolis, he gave his time and talents to the church there. In the last 13 years, he has been attending Bethel Baptist Church. Along with his love of God, his family and friends were his life. He worked for Lucent Technologies for 25 years and worked for the Indiana Department of Transportation for 17 years. C. Michael was a fan of all sports, golf, traveling, and doing yard work. Mike is survived by his wife, Rhonda Richardson; brothers, David Richardson, Kenneth (Cindy) Richardson, Joe (Alisa) Richardson, and Rick Richardson; sister, Shirley (Mike) Wainscott; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Doris Crain, Leslie Richardson, and Linda Loney. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Joe Wood and Rev. Kenneth Richardson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. Friends may share a memory or condolence at www.erleweinmortuary.com.
