Nora M. Smith, passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 75 in Columbia City, Indiana. Born on March 31, 1950, in Huntington to Evart & Betty (Burley) Walker. She was a proud graduate of Huntington High School. Nora dedicated many years of her life to her career in the healthcare field as a housekeeper, where her attention to detail and caring nature made a meaningful impact on those she served.
Nora's passions extended far beyond her professional life. A true lover of life, she had a special fondness for cats and could often be found tending to her flower garden. Fishing brought her joy, while baking and cooking allowed her to share her culinary talents with family and friends. Known for her extensive wardrobe and an abundance of shoes, Nora embraced life with style and grace.
However, what brought Nora the greatest happiness was the time spent with her beloved husband, Frank. Their bond was a testament to love, companionship, and shared experiences.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Smith; son, James Powers; daughter, Chrissy (Elvis) Larkey; step-daughter, Lucinda (John) Felt and a brother, Steve (Debbie) Honey. She is also survived by two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces; several nephews and three step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Evart & Betty (Burley) Walker and her siblings: Butch Honey, June Walker, Jimmy Walker and one grandchild.
