Nora Stancil Obituary
Memorial service Monday, February 9, 2026, 4 PM in Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 3:00 - 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home. A private burial will be held later.
Nora was born and raised in Pitt County. She was employed at Burroughs-Wellcome, Brody's, and J. C. Penney. She enjoyed going to the mountains, the beach, and the river where she and her husband had a trailer. She loved to decorate and enjoyed cooking, and made the Best Coconut Cake! She also enjoyed reading, and her flowers. But most of all, she loved her family!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Ray Stancil; a son, Ricky Stancil; sister, Alma Ruth Buck; brother Herman Wiggins, Jr.; and her parents, Herman and Pearlie Wiggins.
Nora is survived by a Brother, Johnnie E. Wiggins; a Sister, Shirley Hardee; Sisters-in-law, Hilda Foster and husband, Richard; and Linda Stancill; and Several nieces and nephews.
