Norah Theresa Busby affectionately, known as “Nana” unexpectedly passed away from her earthly body to be with her Lord and Savior and many loved ones waiting to welcome her home on November 10, 2025, at the age of 74.
Norah was born August 23,1951 in Sterling, Colorado to Bridget Boswell McNally and Chris McNally.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Busby; daughter, Jenny Ackerman, and father of her children Steve Wayne Lum Sr.
Everywhere Norah went she knew no stranger, only a friend she hadn’t met yet. If there was a dance floor, she was on it, and if she wasn’t she was on her way to it. A life lived to the fullest, a laugh that carried through rooms and a smile you couldn’t help but smile back at. Norah will be missed beyond any words could measure and loved even more than that. If you ever laughed or loved with her, know that she cherished every moment—and then told everyone about what a great time she had. She will be missed beyond measure.
Norah is survived by her children, Chris Lum (Christy), Steve Lum Jr., Jamie Lum, Jason Lum (Megan); sisters, Chrissy Nell Gray and Jenny Petersen; grandchildren, Houston Simmons (Vivian), Bridgett Ackerman, Haley Lum, Brandon Lum, Samantha Lum, Kelsi Sirmon (Kinley), Madison Schmitz (Dylan), and Gabby Solomon along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other friends and loved ones.
The family will receive condolences at Palmer Mortuary on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 5pm to 6pm. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 6pm officiated by Pastor Randy Witte. A livestream of the service will be offered within her obituary page on the Palmer Mortuary website.
