NORMA JEAN BISCZAT (JOHNSTON)

Norma Jean Bisczat passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at the Middletown Home, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 88.

She was born in Donora, PA (near McKeesport), in 1937 to the late Charles Johnston and Helen Johnston (Molaski). She was an accomplished graduate of Pennsbury High School, started her early career as a secretary at US Steel Fairless Works, and spent most of her life to being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Norma Jean and Raymond F. Bisczat, met at work, and were married 46 years until he preceded her in death. Norma Jean cherished time with her family and looked forward to cheering on her children and granddaughter at sporting events during their high school and college years. She made a point of being present, always showing interest and giving support. Norma Jean was an avid book reader and enjoyed a good thriller; a loyal Philadelphia sports fan always watching her Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers; enjoyed shows at the Bucks County Playhouse; enjoyed art and collectibles with her husband; and spending time at Ricketts Glen State Park and Cape May, NJ. She especially loved her cat, Jesse.

She is survived by her son Raymond J. Bisczat and his wife Suzanne (Alvis) of Williamsburg, VA; daughter Jean Marie Krawczuk and her husband Christopher of Harrisburg, PA; and granddaughter Kate Krawczuk of Hershey, PA.

Norma Jean never wanted to be the center of attention, so her services will be private for immediate family members only. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and thanks to the Middletown Home, Middletown, PA and Hospice of Central PA who provided her and her family with incredible comfort and care. We ask that you support them in her honor.

Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. Condolences for the family can be left at www.fitzgeraldsommerfuneralhome.com.
