Norma Mae Darrough, 88, of Sheldon passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at the BeeHive Homes Memory Care in Lafayette, Indiana. She was born on September 24, 1937 in Brook, Indiana, the daughter of Raymond and Cora Lucille (White) Hiltz. They preceded her in death along with one son, Greg Darrough.
Norma married Charles Darrough on August 12, 1956 in Sheldon and he survives.
She is also survived by her daughter, DeAnna Kiifner (John Paro) of Sheldon; one son, Brett Darrough of Osseo, Michigan; four grandchildren, Max Darrough, Joe Darrough, Halie Belz (Kyle Myers), and Emma Belz (Chris Biggs); and one great granddaughter, MaryEllen Myers.
Norma worked for many years at the Snow Agency, which later became the Wolfe Agency in Sheldon. She loved knitting, reading, and traveling. Norma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and spending her winters in Florida.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka with the visitation one hour prior to the funeral service. Rev. Gary Milton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Sheldon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the donor's choice.
