Norma Fitzpatrick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home - Carson City on Feb. 27, 2026.
Norma Jean (Falor) Fitzpatrick of Carson City, passed away on February 26, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born on August 10, 1932, to Clare and Lena (Dalton) Falor. Norma is remembered fondly as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Norma graduated from Maple Rapids High School in the Class of 1949 and went on to graduate from McBride School of Teaching in 1955, and later from Ferris State University.

Norma enjoyed telling stories of being a teacher in a one room schoolhouse near Grand Ledge. In 1956, she married the love of her life, Thomas (TJ) Fitzpatrick after many years of TJ pursuing her from meeting each other on a sledding hill on the Maple River as children. Once married, she took on being a farmer's wife and mom, with pride. Her enjoyment in serving people around her dinner table became another career in catering for the Carson City community with her sister, Ruthann. Norma was known for the menus she created for many weddings and funerals throughout the community. Her and TJ were members of the St. Mary's Catholic Parish in Carson City.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Becky (Loren) Roslund, Robert (Sharon) Fitzpatrick, Gregg (Michelle) Fitzpatrick, and Doug (Shelley) Fitzpatrick. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren who all brought joy to her life: Angie (Seth) Lake, Allison (Greg) Neyer, Turner (Kelly) Fitzpatrick, Allen (Jaidyn Butcher) Fitzpatrick, Spencer (Alyssa) Fitzpatrick, Carrie (Matt Almond) Fitzpatrick, Austin (Diana Hamilton) Fitzpatrick, Mason (Justine Holland) Fitzpatrick, and Anne Fitzpatrick. Thirteen years ago, she took on a new role of "Grandma-Great", a favorite job of hers given to her by: Molly Jean, Grady, Layne, Colton, River, Hayes, Houlden, Tripp, Kallie, Stella, and Nora. Norma was also survived by her sister, Ruthann Feldpausch, her brother Donald Falor, her sisters-in-law: Tracy Falor, Martha Jean Carpenter, Mildred Leslie, Betty (Jerry) Kendall, her brothers-in-law: William (Mary) Fitzpatrick and Dick Fitzpatrick, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 2015, her parents, her mother and father-in-law: Joseph and Cecilia Fitzpatrick, her brother: Ron Falor, her brothers-in-law: John Fitzpatrick, Larry Leslie, and Basil Loynes, and her sisters-in-law: Kim Falor, Edna Falor, Carol Fitzpatrick and Carolyn Fitzpatrick.

The family would like to thank the staff at Laurels of Carson City for all of their care for Norma since 2022.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 11 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carson City, Michigan. Interment will be held at a later date in Maryknoll Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 4 to 8 pm at Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City and again on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to hospice. To view Norma's obituary online or to leave a condolence for the family please visit www.luxfuneralhomes.com
