Norma Frances, beloved wife, mother, sister, ministry leader, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on January 6th, 2025, at the age of 53. She was born on September 29th, 1971, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Jimmy Fields Hampton and Margarette Annette Sommers Hampton. On April, 27th, 1991, she married the love of her life, Michael Frances, and over the next 34 years they created and shared a beautiful family and made an awesome ministry team.
Norma was a shining example of Christ's love, and her ministry touched countless lives. She recently retired from Mardel after 15 years of dedicated service, where she cherished every moment with her co-workers and never missed an opportunity to witness to customers. Her love for her work and readiness to engage in discussions about God's word were truly admirable.
In her free time, Norma enjoyed hiking and walking with her best friend Debbie Gardner, relaxing in her backyard swing, and spending quality time with her beloved dogs Ryder, Molley, Beaux, and Toby. She took great pride in supporting and cheering on her loved ones through their many accomplishments.
Norma's true passion and calling was serving in the children's ministry at New Life Austin. She shared the good news of God's word with her kids and was forever grateful for the many ministry partners who served alongside her and shared her burden.
To all who knew her, no matter how long, Norma was the purest form of God's grace on Earth. We are filled with gratitude for the time we shared with her and how God used her in her ministry.
Norma is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Michael Frances; her sons and their wives, Nathan (Rachel), Timothy (Alex), and Seth (Morgan); her grandchildren Rhett, Branch, and Dakota; her father Charles Wesley Patterson (Rose); her sisters Ione Trahan (Bobby), Becca Stawecki, and Michelle Nelson (Terry); and her nieces and nephews Jimmy Fields Trahan (Taylor), Grace Trahan, Tyler Nelson (Valerie), Haelee Blanton (Reed), and Garrett Nelson.
Visitation will be held at New Life Austin on Friday, January 10th from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM. A celebration of life service will take place at New Life Austin on Saturday, January 11th at 2:00 PM, followed by a procession to Bagdad Cemetery in Leander, TX, for a graveside service for the immediate family. All in attendance at the celebration are invited to the graveside service.
"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. "So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them.""
