Norma Jane Gerardy

Norma Jane Gerardy, born on December 18,1924 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, peacefully passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 98 in San Diego, California. Norma was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Norma is survived by her three children, Tom (Tarey) Gerardy, John (Shirley) Gerardy, and Mary Gibson. She was also cherished by her seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Gerardy, her sister Peggy Campbell, and her brother John Shirley.
In addition to her dedication to her family, Norma enjoyed serving as a volunteer at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for over 30 years. Her selflessness and commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on the community.
Norma will forever be remembered for her uncanny knack for remembering names, birthdays and special occasion dates and details. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was fortunate to have many dear friends.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her.
A graveside service in honor of Norma will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 10:30 AM at El Camino Memorial Park located at 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd., San Diego, CA. Following the service, a casual gathering will take place at Karl Strauss Brewery at 9675 Scranton Rd., San Diego, CA.
