Norma Lee Hale

Norma Lee (Hiser) Hale of Muskogee, Ok resident was born August 30, 1939 in Pawhuska, OK. She was the daughter of Asa and Verna (Ingle) Hiser. She passed from this life on March 5, 2026 in Muskogee, Ok at the age of 86 years.

As a young child, Norma's family moved from Oklahoma to the West Coast where they traveled up and down throughout Oregon, Idaho and California in which the entire family including the children worked in the fields picking strawberries, digging potatoes or whatever work that could be found to make money. Every penny the family earned was pooled together until enough was saved to move back to Oklahoma where they bought a ranch and settled on Beaver Mountain near Stigler, Oklahoma. Overall it's guessed that Norma attended roughly 22 different schools growing up. The most memorable places she lived as a child was in Buttonwillow, California and in Porterville, California where she was able to attended school about two consecutive years.

As a young woman for many years Norma supported herself and son, where she made a good living waiting tables in Tulsa. She then relocated to Muskogee where she took a job in sales at Rainbow Bread. For most of her adult life she continued in sales where she excelled. Eventually she ventured out and opened her own business which was a gift shop called Wise Buy where she store operations in Tahlequah, Pryor and Checotah.

Norma had an unwavering love for the Lord. Her favorite pasted time was reading the bible and attending church at Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son Keith Hale of Muskogee; one brother Harmon Hiser and wife Sharon of Bentonville, AR; one grandson Sean Hale and wife Ashley, and two great-granddaughters Isabella Hale and Anastasia Hale all of Muskogee, OK; three nieces Jackie Bates of Stigler, Ok; Kimberly Taylor of Stigler, Ok; Lori Isenberg of Ponca City, Ok; and three nephews Ronald Hiser of Whitefield, Ok; Steven Hiser of Chickasha, Ok and Dustin Hiser of Muskogee, Ok.

She was preceded in death by her parents Asa and Verna (Ingle) Hiser, two brothers Stanley Hiser and Steve Hiser.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday March 13, 2026 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Pastor David Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery located on Beaver Mountain near Stigler, OK under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Visitation will be on Thursday March 12, 2026 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
