Norma V. Hough, age 93, of Bryant, IN, passed away at 1:50 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Persimmon Ridge in Portland, IN. She was born on Sunday, April 19, 1931, in Geneva, IN. She married Charles Hough on Sunday, June 4, 1950, in Portland, IN. Norma "Lady" attended Geneva High School. She was co-owner of Hough Auto Salvage, with her husband, Charles. Lady retired from CTS in Berne, and she volunteered at Care and Share. She was a member of Geneva VFW Auxiliary Post #6757 and was a lifetime member of the Tri-State Tractor and Engine Association. In 2021, Lady received the Conservationist of the Year Award. She attended the High Street United Methodist Church in Geneva.
Lady will be missed by her daughter - Carol Lykins, Portland, IN, son - Steve Hough, Bryant, IN, daughter - Connie Truex, Portland, IN, 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father - Earl Mann, mother - Inez (Nevil) Mann, husband - Charles E. Hough, siblings - Verle "Sis" Welker - Carl "Cod" Mann - Elmer Mann - Charles "Bud" Mann - Wilford "Bill" Mann - Melvin "Pete" Mann, and grandson -Travis Truex.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N. Washington Street Geneva on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
A service to celebrate her life will be at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N. Washington Street Geneva at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2024, with Rev. Paul VanCise officiating. Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Portland.
Preferred memorials: Bryant Area Community Center 107 S. Malin St. Bryant, IN 47326 and/or Bryant Vol. Fire Dept. 205 W. Hendricks Bryant, IN 47326
Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
