Ken was born May 31, 1937 in Kalamazoo Michigan. He passed away September 30, 2025 after complications from stroke and dementia. He is survived by his wife Lana, daughter Heather Sedelmaier, son Matthew Hough, 3 stepchildren, 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren who loved their Paken. He is also survived by his brother Harold Hough (Irma) his business partner, sister Carolee Barret, brother Kerry Hough and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his mother Helen Newman and father Harold Hough.

Ken graduated from Sexton High School in 1955 and joined his father's business, Harold's Interiors and also founded Candle Rentals. He was an active member of the Civitan Club for many years.

Before he retired Ken and Lana owned a power boat and sail boat and spent many hours on the Great Lakes each summer He also established a wood shop at his house and made tables, dressers, beds, clocks, jewelry boxes and any requests from his family. He was a excellent woodworker. He retired in 2000 and then Ken and Lana traveled the United States in their camper before settling in Florida where they spent 12 winters. While there Ken continued his hobby of woodworking, and also boating and golf. Ken was an outdoorsman and went canoeing five times to Boundary Waters starting at 60 years old, portaging a canoe and backpacks thru Canadian Lakes.

He loved his family and friends unconditionally and was a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather He loved animals and in particular Pepper, his Beagle pup. He walked her three times a day until his stroke made it impossible. Ken was a member of Community of Christ church where he was a lay minister. Many thanks to Hospice and the many caring aides at the Legacy, especially Calli, Fumni, Geneal , Harmony and Nicole for going above and beyond.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Community of Christ on October 12, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. with refreshments to follow. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice in Ken's name. To share memories and condolences please visit www.SkinnerFuneralHomes.com
