Norma Faye Ingrum, 91, of Atwood, IL passed away at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Carriage Crossing, Arcola, with her daughters by her side.
Norma was born December 14, 1933 in Douglas County, Illinois, the daughter of Herman and Marie (Wolford) Harshbarger. She married Lawrence H. Ingrum on August 20, 1952. He preceded her in death May 9, 2009.
Norma is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Dave) Howell of Morton and Janice (Jeff) Hutchcraft of Atwood; three grandchildren: Ryan Gregory of Atwood, Krystal (Andy) Miller of Morton and Drew Howell of Peoria; four great-grandchildren: Tate, Livie and Molly of Morton and Violet of Atwood. She is also survived by one brother, Carl (Sharon) Harshbarger and sister-in-law Yvonne Harshbarger, both of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, infant daughter Cheryl Lynn Ingrum, two brothers Dale and Fred, sister Martha and one son-in-law, Ronnie Rentz.
Norma retired from the Atwood Grade School lunchroom after many years.
Norma and Lawrence enjoyed many years of Country Dancing. Norma was a very active member of the United Church of Atwood where she especially enjoyed her quilting club and helping with the annual Church Christmas Bazaar. She was proud of the afghans she crocheted for each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her girls and their families were her pride and joy and she loved attending their activities.
The family would like to thank Carriage Crossing and the wonderful caregivers, nurses and other staff members for your compassion and care that was given to Norma during her stay.
Private family services will be held at Lake Fork Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
