Norma Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory on Apr. 30, 2025.
Norma Jane Johnson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, at the age of 74, due to natural causes. She was born on February 26, 1951, in Arkansas City, Kansas, to Jane Carol (Rogers) and Norman Wayne Rankin.
Norma was a proud graduate of Oxford Kansas High School, class of 1969. Her early years were spent in Geuda Springs, where she formed lifelong friendships and cherished memories. On May 25, 1985, she married the love of her life, Jim Johnson, in Arkansas City. The couple shared a deep bond, built on mutual love and respect, and their partnership was a testament to the power of commitment and companionship.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Jane and Norman, and her brother, Danny Wayne Rankin. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love and devotion to her family. She is survived by her husband, Jim; her cherished daughter, Ashley Rainbow Galyean, who is married to Beau Galyean; her adored grandsons, Daxton Wayne and River James Galyean; and her treasured son, Jason Cane Sprowls. Norma's family was her pride and joy, and she took great delight in being a grandmother, finding immense happiness in the laughter and joy of her grandsons.
Throughout her life, Norma found joy in the little things. She had a profound passion for arts and crafts, often dedicating her spare time to creating beautiful pieces that brought smiles to those around her. She will be remembered not only for her artistic talents but also for her unwavering support and the love she poured into her family.
A funeral service will be held in her honor on May 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City, Kansas. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Norma's life, sharing stories and memories.
As we say our final goodbye to Norma Jane Johnson, we take comfort in the love she gave and the laughter she shared. Though she has departed from this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Rest in peace, dear Nonie. Your legacy of strong will and love will never be forgotten.
