Norma Rose Kayrouz Norma Rose Kayrouz, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at The Grand of Prospect. She was 95 and preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph of 72 years.
She was born September 16, 1926, in Louisville, one of four children to Irvin and Gertrude Etscorn. Norma was the owner of JP Kayrouz Restaurant and a catering business over 30 years. Our mother was a passionate baker, who never missed an opportunity to provide birthdays cakes for family members and friends. She was an avid reader, lover of the arts, and bird watcher.
Her love for entertaining was enjoyed by many for decades. She attended Holy Trinity grade school and Ursiline High School. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Big Spring Country Club and Speed Art Museum.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by daughter-in law, Carol Kayrouz. grand-daughter Eleanor Kayrouz, great-grandson Walker Davenport and sisters, Betty Hines and Patricia Brown, and stepbrother Gary Etscorn. Norma is survived by her brother Donald (Rosella), children, Jacqueline (Doyce), Dennis, Donna McGraw (Tom), Ron (Ilana), Thomas (Mary), Kimberly Kayrouz-Tidball (Dan), and Christopher. She also leaves to cherish her memory 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
