Our wonderful, loving mom, Norma Signe Kuller, 95, of Bluffton, SC, passed on to new life at home with her family, the morning of January 14, 2023. Norma was born on November 29, 1927 in the Bronx, NY to Harry and Signe Johnson. She and her husband, John Kuller, moved to Rowayton, CT, where she enjoyed many wonderful friends. She was an Executive Assistant at Union Capital Services of Union Trust Corporation for many years, retiring to Sun City Hilton Head, SC where she lived for almost 20 years. Norma loved being a mom, a grandma, and a great grandma. She was the beloved mother of Lyn S. Stout (Ray) and Jane R. Capraro (Richard). In addition to her daughters, she is survived by her precious grandchildren, Colleen Cormier (Chris), Lauren Meyer (Tim), Robin Dumas (Joe) and Ryan Reed (Ashley), and great grandchildren, Emmabelle, Matthew, Rowan and Ava. She was predeceased by her former spouse John Kuller.
Norma had a fun-loving sense of humor with a twinkle in her eye. She was ready to dance, ride a bicycle, go on a nature hike, swim at the beach and would happily climb a ladder to paint the exterior of the house. She saw the beauty found in simplicity. Full of energy with an independent, strong and self-confident spirit, she looked for the good in others and in all situations. "Don't cry over spilled milk" and "like water off a duck's back" were a few of her favorite teaching phrases. She offered a listening ear and practical advice when asked. She was our anchor, our joy, steadfast and loving. Her presence is deeply missed though her spirit is dancing in heaven and in our hearts.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 11, 2023, 1:00 at the Belin Memorial United Methodist Church, Murrells Inlet, SC.
