Norma Louise McComy, 83, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025. She was born on December 2, 1941, in Saint Louis, MO, to the late Naomi (Eads) Cook and George Nolen.
Norma's life was one of deep devotion to her family. She was united in marriage to Robert McComy on September 20, 2008, and together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.
A proud business owner, Norma ran Poorman's Art Gallery, a beloved fixture on Main Street in Saint Charles. She was a retired employee of Boatmen's Bank, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
Norma was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford D. Potts, whom she married on December 9, 1958, and who passed away earlier in life. She was also preceded by her parents, Naomi (Eads) Cook and George Nolen, as well as her stepson, Gary Potts, niece Kelly Hiles, and brother-in-law, Bernie Hartzell.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert McComy; her children: Nick Potts, Mike (Rose) Potts, Mark (Jill) Potts, and Linda Potts. She also leaves behind her stepchildren: Rick Potts, Cathy Nichol, Helen McComy, and Susie (David) Heembrock.
Norma is further survived by her sisters, Ruth Hartzell and Karen Cook (Terry Heady); her cousin, Becky (Steve) Havens; and her nephew, Keith (Maria) Hartzell.
Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, who were the light of her life: Nicole, Marc, Rachel, Mikey, Emily, Alex, Jacob, Alicia, Ashley, Anthony, Seth, Shannon, Brittany, Joshua, Robert, Kara, Katie, Sean, Charisse, Erica, Nicole, and Jessie, as well as many adored great-grandchildren.
Norma's warm spirit, kindness, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
Rest in peace, Norma—your love and light will continue to guide us.
