With heavy hearts and loving memories, we share the passing of Scott Michael Beringer, 65, of Florissant, Missouri. Born on February 17, 1960, in St. Louis, Scott brought joy, laughter, and an endless stream of conversation to everyone lucky enough to know him.

Scott was the beloved son of Howard and Geraldine Beringer, and a cherished brother to Dean and Sandra. He was a devoted husband to Tina, a father to Scotty and Josh and proud father-in-law to Melissa, but his greatest joy of all was being “Grandpa” to his granddaughter Allison, who lit up his world in every possible way.

A talented lighting engineer, Scott quite literally spent his life helping others see things more clearly — both through his work and through the brightness of his spirit. He loved football, golf, and a good long chat, often at the same time. Scott never met a stranger; whether you’d known him for five minutes or fifty years, he’d have you laughing, listening, and somehow feeling like an old friend.

Those who knew Scott will forever remember his humor, his generous heart, and the way he could fill a room with energy. His stories might have been long — and sometimes repeated — but no one ever minded, because they were always told with love and that unmistakable spark that made Scott, Scott.
