Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - St. PetersDonna M. Cooper, born on July 5, 1969, in St. Louis, Missouri, peacefully departed from this world on January 30, 2026, in St. Peters, Missouri, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, her rich life was defined by her unwavering support and love for those around her.
A dedicated caregiver and a beacon of hope for many, Donna dedicated her career to helping others, particularly the elderly in their later years. She was well-known for her ability to "Run a Tight Ship," lovingly providing comfort and the necessary support to families throughout her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Nursing Home Administrator after studying at West County Technical College.
Donna's vibrant personality was infectious; she was outgoing, loving, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her humor often brought light into the lives of her loved ones, as she affectionately referred to her husband William and her daughter Jasmine as "crybabies" because of their emotional moments. Indeed, the warmth she radiated was evident in her every interaction.
The memories cherished by her family are a testament to her strength and loving nature. From reminiscing about old memories during birthday celebrations, to many moments of laughter entertaining her family in her "glam room," filled with shoes, clothes, and purses, Donna upheld family traditions and created cherished moments. Her supportive presence during the birth of her grandchildren, even amidst COVID quarantine, exemplified her role as a nurturing matriarch. She inspired her children to better themselves at every turn and she would often say "Your father and I always wanted better for you than what we had for ourselves", demonstrating fierce dedication to their growth and happiness.
Donna’s life was not without its challenges. A fighter through and through, she faced her first experience with breast cancer with remarkable courage, continuing to work each day through her treatment — a testament to her tenacity and vibrancy for life. The powerful symbolic tattoo her son Jordon got in her honor, capturing the spirit of her resilience with the words “Never Going Down Without A Fight,” brought her to tears, encapsulating the love that bound them.
Her greatest pride was her marriage of 38 years to her beloved husband William, whom she cherished deeply as her best friend and partner. William describes her as his best friend, greatest supporter, and the love of his life. Donna was known to be fiercely protective of those she loved, especially her children and her grandchildren. She was a role model in every aspect—as a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and an incredible sister who was lovingly referred to as the best little sister in the world.
A proud mother of five, she leaves behind her loving husband William Cooper; her beloved children, Jasmine, Jocelyn, Jordon (and his partner Autumn Carder), and Jeremiah Cooper; and her cherished grandchildren, Annyà Jones and Jayden Cooper. She is also survived by her mother, Yvonne Burns, her sister, Deborah (Brian) Finch; siblings-in-law, Darrell (Wanda) Cooper, Tara Cooper, and Brian Cooper; and her adored nephews and nieces: Brooklen Finch, Darrell Cooper Jr., Darrien Cooper, Ardell Cooper, Brandi Finch, Dawana (Marcus) Fugate, Carlene Cooper-Johnson, Jennifer Cooper, and Alexandria Cooper, and her uncles, Curtis Burns and Alfred A. Burns, Jr., as well as many great-nieces and nephews who adored her.
Donna is preceded in death by her son Jaydon Cooper, her parents-in-law, Carlene McKinney and Raymond McKinney, and Willie R. Cooper, her brothers-in-law, Gary Cooper and Gregory Cooper, and her great-nephew, Kayveon Dee James Calvy.
Donna enjoyed and celebrated every holiday with her family. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite times of the year. She would always decorate the home for Christmas decor and each year she added new decorations to share with family. Forever remembered for her laughter, fashion sense, love for shopping, and interest in home renovation shows on HGTV, Donna’s spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all those she touched. Her legacy of boundless love and care will continue to inspire her family and friends as they navigate life without her radiance. As they look back on shared memories, family traditions, and the strength of her character, they celebrate a remarkable woman who truly made a difference in the lives of so many.
