Norma Doris Pajot

1928 - 2021

Norma (Bajumpaa) Pajot entered into eternal life on October 7, 2021. She was 93 years young, born on April 2,1928 in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, the youngest of ten children of Suzanne and Andrew Bajumpaa. She was affectionately nicknamed "Sug" by her loving husband Fran of 62 years. They were never without each other until his passing in 2013. Raised on a farm, she came from hearty Finnish stock. She exemplified the Finnish word "Sisu"- a special strength and perseverance. She approached life with a quiet courage and determination and for that we are truly grateful. Mom always taught us to live by the golden rule. She liked the simple pleasures of life, especially watching her 7 children, 20 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren grow. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, providing a warm and loving home. Her home cooking and baking were enjoyed by all and especially brought smiles to her grandchildren. Her famous recipes will live on. She rarely complained, was a great listener, and never came for a visit empty handed. Her door was always open for a cup of coffee or Sunday Brunch. She leaves a large family to remember and carry on her kind and gentle spirit. She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren and their spouses: Marissa and Tim Webb, Elise and Randy Keiler, Renee and Aaron Bohigian, Daniel Pajot and his fiancée Lindsay Robinson, Timothy Pajot, Mike deMello, Christina and Robert Burke, Laura, Julie, Diana and Rachel Fitzpatrick, Ryan and Lauren ViVenzio, Christopher and Tyler ViVenzio, Teresa and her fiancé Daniel Fleming, Bridget, Andrea, and Andrew Pajot, Brandon Sprague and his fiancée Sarah Gorman, and Neysa Sprague, and her 9 great grandchildren Keane, Soren and Breckon Webb, Canaan and Sage Peloquin, Jackson and Savannah deMello, Evangeline Pajot Keiler, and Brighton Burke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Joseph's Church, 33 West St. Rockville on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the family plot in the Thompsonville Cemetery, Enfield, CT. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 12 from 4-7 PM at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd, South Windsor, CT.
