AUSTINTOWN - Norma J. Pecchio, 98, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, Feb. 2, 2026, after a long and fulfilling life.
Norma was born April 3, 1927, in Warren, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Klutch, and was a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of Wilson High School, Norma was crowned prom queen — a title that hinted early on at the grace and warmth she carried throughout her life. She worked in sales at Hammars Furniture Store on Market Street and later at Zinz Floor Covering on Mahoning Avenue in Austintown, where she spent many dedicated years before retiring.
Mrs. Pecchio was a member of St. Christine Church. She was well known for her infamous “Dodos” cookies, which she lovingly baked and shipped to family and friends throughout the United States. Norma was also a dedicated caregiver to many family members, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Norma leaves to forever cherish her memory her three children, Gary Pecchio of Newnan, Georgia, Joyce Pecchio of Jupiter, Florida and Joseph Pecchio of Austintown, with whom she shared her home; and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband of 41 years, Andrew Pecchio, whom she married June 16, 1951, preceded her in death July 2, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Rockney and Maxine Bielak.
