In Loving Memory of Norma Marie Pringle
January 29, 1929 – December 28, 2025
Norma Marie Pringle, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2025, at the age of 96. Her life was a radiant testament to faith, family, and the joy of living fully.
Born in
Rochester, New York, Norma grew up surrounded by love and community. She attended Our Lady of Good Counsel and St. Agnes Catholic School, where her devotion to her faith began. After completing her education, she pursued a career in human resources, working for Allstate and Sears. She later devoted herself to raising her family as a mother and homemaker and found joy in becoming a travel agent-combining her love of travel with her gift for planning and helping others.
In 1959, Norma left New York for sunny Southern California, where she met and married U.S. Navy pilot William "Bill" Pringle. Together they built a life in San Diego and the surrounding area, raising four children-Katie, Mary, Matt (Julie), and Will (Cathy). Though their marriage ended in 1976, Norma's devotion to her children and extended family remained the center of her world.
In 1980, Norma relocated with three of her children to Fort Myers, Florida, where she created a new home filled with warmth, laughter, and faith. She worked at the Church of the Resurrection, where she retired after twenty years. It was there that she met Harold Flick, with whom she shared years of companionship. Their life together was rich with joy-travel adventures, shared stories, and cherished visits with family.
In 2005, Norma and Harold moved to
Titusville, Florida, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. After Harold's passing in 2008, Norma remained in the Titusville/Mims community, where she continued to live surrounded by the people she loved.
Norma's life was rich with adventure and connection. She loved to travel, meet new people, enroll in various college classes, and experience the beauty of the world. She had a gift for making friends wherever she went, and her kindness touched countless lives. Whether through her professional work, her service at The Church of the Resurrection in Fort Myers, or her devotion as a parishioner at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mims, Norma lived out her faith in Christ with grace and generosity.
She is survived by her four children, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love, resilience, and joy. Also surviving are Harold's children John Flick (Laura), Linda Pagani (Wayne), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Norma was predeceased by her sister Jean Marasco, former husband Bill Pringle, and partner Harold Flick.
Though Norma will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched. Her story is one of steady devotion-to her family, her faith, and the simple but meaningful joys of everyday life. She met each day with gratitude, humor, and an open heart, leaving a legacy that reminds us that a life grounded in love and service is a life well lived.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 3, 2025 at 11AM.
If you are unable to attend the Mass or stay for the Celebration of Life Reception, the family welcomes you to stop by for Visitation from 10:00–10:45 a.m. in Emmaus Hall.
In honor of Norma's love for the bright colors of springtime, those who wish are invited to wear spring colors as we gather to remember and celebrate her vibrant life.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of St. Francis for their continued care, compassion, and comfort shown to Norma and her loved ones. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of St. Francis in her honor: https://reflectionslsc.org/donate/
