Norma J. (Dingus) Secrest, 82, of Cambridge passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Norma was born December 6, 1942, in Cambridge, a daughter to the late Willard and Clara Alice (Thorton) Dingus.

She is a Christian by faith. Norma was the owner of Secrest Disposal and Secrest Carry Out. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking, spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Secrest Jr, whom she married August 24, 1957, and passed April 15, 2018; her daughter, Mary Ann (Secrest) Hudson; her brother, Robert Dingus; a sister, Betty Barnhart; a step- brother, Michael Dingus, and her grandsons, Edward Morrow Jr, Donald Moore, and Kenneth Moore Jr.

She is survived by, her son, Edward (Lee Ann) Secrest of Cambridge; her daughters, Dolly Arnold of Cambridge and Janet Morrow of Cambridge; one brother, James (& Kathy) Dingus of Cambridge; two sisters, June (& Bill) Cobb of Caldwell and Joann Flesher of Georgia; seven grandchildren, Edward Secrest, Jessica Secrest, Jonathan Secrest, William (& Sam) Arnold, Jennifer Williams, Thomas Arnold, and Ted Morrow; six great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place Friday, October 3, 2025, from 4PM- 8PM at Thorn- Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with the service on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11AM. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery in Cambridge. Pastor Randy Mercer will officiate.
