Norma Lee Singleton Mouton
February 6, 1949 – June 20, 2025
Lafayette: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Lafayette for Norma Mouton.
Norma Lee Singleton Mouton was born on February 6, 1949, to Percy and Dorothy Perrodin Singleton of
Lafayette, LA. She was married to Alvin Mouton, Sr., for 56 years. In their union, they had 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. At the age of 76, Norma passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025 at her home in Lafayette.
Norma was also known as "Norma Lee and Aunt Lee-Lee" to many friends and family. She graduated from Paul Breaux High School, Class of 1968. She was also a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in
Lafayette, LA. Norma was the rock of the family. She always made sure that every event she attended, she had a dish in hand. She was an amazing cook and loved sharing her food with everyone she came into contact with. She loved her family like no other. Always making sure everyone was good and willing to help in any way needed. If she couldn't help, she would find someone that could. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Norma leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Alvin Joseph Mouton Sr from Lafayette, her two daughters, Lisa Boutte' (Norris) from Grand Marais, LA and Jennifer Uzoma (Kingsley) from
Lafayette, LA: Two sons, Alvin, Jr. and Kevin Mouton, both from Lafayette; Two Grand-daughters, Tailor Sam and Kylah Mouton, 6 Grandsons, Tyler, Cameron, & Alex Boutte', Jacoby Dugas, Kevin, Jr & Kason Mouton; Three Great Grand-Daughters, Kayce Boutte', Brynlee Boutte', and Aubrey Mouton. Four Sisters, Mary Ruth Guice (Robert) of Killeen, Tx, Barbara Roberts (E.J.) of Gulfport, MS, Andre Thibeaux and Mary Hickman (Ronnie) of Lafayette. Two Brothers, Percy-Lee Singleton and Timothy Singleton (Selena) both from Lafayette. Three Sisters-in-Law, Helen Citizen (Grady) of Opelousas, Margaret Mouton of Milton, and Marjorie Lavergne of Lafayette; Two Brothers-in-Law, Albert Mouton (Gerry) of Carencro and Edward Mouton of Milton. Four Godchildren, Andre Thibeaux, Charlene Singleton, Douglas Mouton, & Barbara Jean Raymond. One uncle Clinton Perrodin of Opelousas, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Percy and Dorothy Singleton; brother, Joseph Macarther Singleton; Nephews, Robert, II and Roderick Guice, Richard Raymond, Jr., Joseph & Xavier Singleton; Nieces, Angela, Brandy, & Kim Singleton & Amber Onezime. Sister-in Law Barbara Singleton, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Norma will be missed by all her family and friends. She was taken too soon, but we will cherish her in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 7:00am to 10:45 at Kinchen Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be cited at 9:30am.
