Norma R. Treichler

Norma R. Treichler, of Bethlehem, formerly of North Plainfield, NJ, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 in Country Meadows of Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of the late Lorin F. Treichler who passed in 1983. Born in Norwich, NY, she was a daughter of the late Allen E. and Ethel (Crandall) McNitt. She attended the Cortland State Teachers College and Pratt Institute for Dietetics, where she received an associates degree and later her BS degree. She worked as a dietician for many years and later for Nirol Manufacturing retiring in 1991. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, where she had been active in the craft group and Presbyterian Woman's Group. It is also noted that earlier in her life, she was the first girls tennis champion of Norwich, NY.
Survivors: She is survived by her children, Marylou Parker (Andrew), Dorothy Planer, Donald Treichler, Allen Treichler (Diane) and 4 grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Allen McNitt and sister, Rita Tait.
Services: Services will be at the convenience of her family with burial of her cremated remains later at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ. Arrangements entrusted to James Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
