Norma was a devoted wife to Henry Wathen for 57 years. Together they built a family: Sharon (Ben Clark), Sandra (Greg Migliori), and Susan (Dave Banninga). There are 5 grandchildren (Summer Deal, Ben Clark, Andrea, Joseph and Anthony Migliori) and 5 great-grandchildren (Seanna, Shellee, Mariah, Elena and Benjamin).
Norma was the second of six children to Ruby and Walter Burton of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by sisters Opal Adkins and Carol Strosnider. She is survived by her brother Tommy Burton, sisters Phyllis McDavid and Garnet Gillium, brother-in law Paul Wathen (Glenda), and many loved and cherished nieces and nephews.
Norma was a gifted seamstress who enjoyed creating quilts, dolls and restoring wood works. She was an outstanding cook and baker as well. During the years, she also worked outside the home at the Minute Maid packing house and Spectrum.
