Norma Watson, age 85, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, went to her heavenly home on November 7, 2023. She was born on July 26, 1938, in Prague, Oklahoma, to Chester Dibler and Hazel (Searcy) Dibler.
Norma married Curtis Ray Watson on August 30, 1956, in Harrah, Oklahoma. They were blessed with two sons, Mike and Ron, and one daughter, Melinda. Norma and Curtis have owned and operated "Curtis Watson's Catfish Restaurant" near McLoud, Oklahoma, for over 45 years. They attended the Living Water Church for many years but in the past few years have attended Sharon Baptist Church in Shawnee.
Norma had many musical talents. She loved to sing and play the piano and accordion. She also enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved the flowers Curtis planted for her every year, especially the roses.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Dorothy Herron.
Norma is survived by her husband of 67 years, Curtis; son, Mike Watson; son, Ron Watson and wife, Leah; daughter, Melinda Little; grandchildren: Stephanie (Kyle) Roe, Collin (Megan) Woodruff, Logan (Kamryn) Woodruff, Jaela Daily-Watson, Jordan (Riana) Little, Colin Little and Brayden Little; great grandchildren: Lily Little, Riley Little, Gwendolyn Little and Tatum Woodruff; sister, Wanda Radford; brother, Wayne Dibler and wife, Paula; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 12, 2023, 12:00 noon – 7:00 pm, at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
A service will be held on November 13, 2023, 2:00 pm, at Sharon Baptist Church, 19002 S. Gordon Cooper Dr., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, 1400 N. Center Ave., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.
