On Saturday, January 31, 2026, Gordon Lee Dedmon, Jr. (Butch), loving husband and devoted father passed way into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father at the age of 79.

Gordon (Butch) was born on April 24, 1946, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Gordon Lee Dedmon, Sr. and Vera Kerr. He attended the University of Oklahoma and the University of Central Oklahoma majoring in Business. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 43 years as a civilian in aircraft maintenance & repair, parts specialist and was in the original B1-B aircraft program. In 1976, Gordon married Patricia Ann Hull; they were blessed with two daughters Cassandra Rose (Cassie) and Laura Katherine, completing their family with Gordon's son Brian Todd Dedmon.

Gordon was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Susan Young Truel, cousin Don Kerr, half-brother Harold Dedmon, and his aunt's Gertrude Payne and Thelma Overstreet.

Gordon is survived by his wife Patricia, son Brian and wife Angela, granddaughter Kylee Montgomery, grandson Joshua Dedmon; his daughter Cassandra B. (Cassie) and grandson Casen Dodd, daughter Laura K. Goodman, granddaughter Kynzley A. Goodman, nephew Cannon Young, and cousins Patricia Kerr Gregory and Mary Kerr McDonald.

Gordon lived his life as a faithful Christian who loved his family with devotion and strong work ethic. He valued friendship and remained loyal to his life-long friend Mike Reynolds, and many good friends; John Bodine, Harold Spurr, Jerry O'Connor, Bruce Outland, Bob Byers, Brandy Patterson, Don Hines, Mike Potts, and Curt Truel.

There will be a private family service. Donation suggestion is the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
